Settlement in a new land and the city state of God in the world was Creation much like sermons of hallowing virgin land in the millenium before our era. It was anchored to the number 6, the great circle of the heavens, the cube 216, the diameter of a circle which measured 216000 feet and 36 as the number of the circle and that of priests, which served as the foundation of law. The entire system was tied to sunrise and sunset, the stellar sphere and the horizon. The underlying ideology was based on fastening the cardinal directions and precise geodetic surveys. The foundation of law and justice could not be separated from right proportions and numbers. Administration was thought to be of divine origin.

Synchronicity of imagery hatched from a mind orienting itself relies on its mnemonic symbols. Appearance of concepts in St. Peter’s Basilica can bee seen in many of its symbolism. Imbeded into the he pillars that hold up the Universe are chapels of; 2 lady saints, Helen and Veronika and 2 men saints Andrew and Longinus. Just like all ancient deities were immersed in Christ, so was all the world engulfed under one roof in St. Peters. The magnificent building of St Peters is based on the proportions; 432, 234, 216, 108 and PI 3.1416

The chapel of St Veronica/The Primeval Hill, Bergthorshvoll

The Myths of Veronika, Helena, Longinus and Andrew were wowen into the 4 sectors of the area around the popes altar, which has a 216 foot diameter. They represent the deities that carry the vault of heaven. In its SW sector where the Primeval Hill is located on a Cosmic Image, Veronica appeares as the wise one, the teacher of good things like residents in this sector of a Cosmic Image are suposed to do: Njall the peacefull wise old man of Berg- thorshvoll. –Ribe, from where Christianity was preached in Denmark. –Isola Sacra from where St. Augustine tought Christianity. –Port Royal outside Paris, –the island Eugeana as the gate to Athens, –the Coopers Hill in Runnimede, London, etc. All those places mark a new sun of the year’s cycle, prossperity and new learning. From the Primeval Hill, Veronika showes her veil to everybody, with a depiction of Jesus on it, saying “He is risen”. Her capel stands at the sector on the sun watch where the sun is at its lowest elevation, Christnas, meaning, from there it starts to climb up on the vault of heaven again.

The chapel of St Longinus/Stong

216 feet opposide is the chaple of Longinus where he stands holding his “Stong”. It seems the actual SW-NE diameter from lowest to highest elevation of the sun, was called Stong. Streching up toward the sun at its highest elevation, man exorsized his want for eternal light. This place was the most ideal place on a sun watch of a CI. But as the sun was at its highest elevation it had allready started its decent. Longinus used his spear to kill Christ at the haight of his power –so he may rise up again.

The chapel of St Andrew/Godasteinn

East from Veronika’s Primeval Hill is the chapel of St Andrew who occupies the same place as Neptune and Odinn on the CI. Andrew died martyrs death on a “Greek Cross” tilting 45° in the seabed, the cold sector of the sunwatch. Sunrise at this spot meant winter was ahead, the world sailed into the cold period of the year. This sector was exemplified by archetypal imagery of “manhood, valour”symbolic as the name, Andrew, which in Greek means: manly, brave. Strong and wise are caracteristics that help a person in the dark, knowing after darkness comes brightness. The color of this place is the dark scale associated with the sea –but with silver lining, because opposide Silver on the sun watch is the Gold of sun exemplified by archetypal Christian Cross.

The chapel of St Helena/Skalholt

216 feet NW is the chapel of St. Helena representing the place on the sun watch, where sunset meant the comming of summer, which promises eternal life for those who believe. Helena is associated with “The straight Cross”, she erected every where she went. Same thought as why Christians erected their first Church in this sector of the sun watch as the new religion gained foothold in a new land.

The center, the pope’s altar/Steinkross

Lines crossed in the dead center, where Peter, God’s emmisary on Earth, was buried. Over his grave, under the Dome of Heaven is the popes altar. From there the Cosmic Image extends 108(000) feet in all directions. In all 10 Cosmic Images discovered, Nations took care to make this their sacred center, their Royal Burrial grounds

The Image of Creation became a Sunwatch in accord with “man´s capacity and natural patterns”, the stars were his guides for marking his optical world on virgin land:

Invironment that was not foreign to coeval culture.

Earth´s celestial equator tilts about 24 degrees relative to its orbital path around the sun. This tilt makes for a belt around Earth´s middle, called the Tropical belt. Within it there is no real difference between seasons. The northern edge of the belt is defined by the tropic of Cancer and its southern edge defined by the tropic of Capricorn. Because of the rotation of Earth stars and the sun seem to sail their course within this belt, outside it was considered dead because there nothing move. The area of the living was considered inside the belt.
Myths have been connected to stars forever. Star signes were a constant background to any tale. In all corners of the world stars were used as signposts to find ones way. In northern locations, Zodiac signs served as prominent markers of the seasons on a cosmic almanac

Delta regions comprise extensive flatlands, formed over millions of years through the accumulation of thick layers of sediment carried there by major river systems. In a sermon of hallowing land, prehistoric man paced an Image of Creation on the delta. On these choice lands for cultivation are found evidence of mankind’s oldest settlements, with the Image of Creation marked there in identical manner all over the world. They were 216 measurement units in diameter and appear to have been measured from southwest to northeast; from a landmark associated with the darkest day of winter, to a place associated with the brightest day of summer. A line was similarly measured from a point associated with the first day of winter in the southeast to one associated with the first day of summer in the northwest. These two axes crossed in the center of an Image of Creation. There a land area was marked, commensurate with the horizon of Man. It was at once a circle and a cube.

The ancient approach is akin to a yardstick, which applies not only to the ancient Image of Creation found in the allegory of Njalsaga, for recent research has established that the like reference frame was used in antiquity in all parts of the globe, bringing to light a Blueprint up on which cultural areas were later built –such an Image of Creation initiated the famous Stoneage constructions in Europe and underlies most cultivated areas in the world: Jelling, Denmark -St.Denis, France -the Vatican, Rome -Glastonbury, Avebury and Stonehenge in Somerset -and Marble Arch and The Tower in London, all are rooted on a grid, suggesting their location is according to a measured plan that predates them:

But what if religion is much older? Once upon a time in history there was a fusion of disciplines, man learned to have but one god. In his quest for virgin land he learn agriculture, learned the paths of the stars, the moon and the sun, he build a callendar to know the future. Christ the New Light was born on the darkest part of the calendar so he may give new life.

Religion became firmly anchored to what Man observed every day, evolving into an instrument for taming chaos, the land (The orientation of the mind, WordPress). Law and order resided in the starry heavens – Man oriented himself. Subsequently, the proportions fused with esthetics and thoughts which stir in Man’s psyche and gradually assumed divine attributes.
The Bible may hold even deeper understanding of the wonder if we decipher its imagery. I propose reading the scriptures as allegory –like old Icelandic skin books.

Basic unity was established between the size of the Earth, its distance from the Sun, and one day´s journey for Man through the proportions of a Measured Image of Creation back in prehistory, however, or not, man verbalized the concept.
From the very first, Man has sought to subject his surroundings to measurements, to bring it within his mind’s grasp in a sense not unlike when a landscape painter attempts to recreate his vision on paper. Man’s first units of measurement were based on the proportions of the human body, which offered a comfortable resolution for a nomad who wished to understand what he saw.
In Renaissance time, Nicolas Poussin perfected the technique of perspective by extending lines of the motives of his painting to the horizon, endowing them thereby with volume and shape on the picture plane. Paintings began to convey an experience which had not been seen before, perspective. To look towards the horizon and contemplate what may lie beyond it awakens throughts of orientation and volume. The unfathomable vision in the mind of the size of creation is expressed through a concept of points which demarcate the horizon.

The Measure of the Cosmos, how and why.
To know the year´s cycle, to be able to count days and nights and to know the future, a mind born of a sphearical Earth needs to do what my forefathers did as they paced an Image of Creation on the delta of south Iceland when they first came and settled Iceland.
All through history, life was played out in front of a starry background. Stars became essential for understanding any tale, as is evident by the Celtic explorers who travelled up here by star, moon and sunlight to contemplate in the presence of the almighty.
The paced distances of an Image of Creation were commensurate with the distance a healthy man could walk without stopping during one half of earths cycle on its axis: A healthy man can take one 5 foot pace per one second (Livio Catullo Stechini,s Appendix in Secrets of the great Pyramid, Peter Tompkins, Galahad Books 1997. p. 314.) = 216000 feet in 12 hours.
The Image of Creation served as a Cosmology and a sun watch / almanac. *It was paced from the spot marking sunset on the day of its lowest elevation on the sun-watch, to the spot marking sunrise on the day of its highest elevation on the oposide side of the sun watch.
Another line was paced from a spot marking sunrise on the first day winter, to a spot marking sunset on the first day of summer on the oposide side of the sun watch. Those two lines crossed at the cosmology´s center which became sacred ground and a resting place, cemetery, as is evident in all the Images of Creation mentioned here: www.peturhalldorsson.com/cosmos_all.html.

The center area was of twofold nature; due south from the center was a seccond center, so to speak, measured 36500 feet south of the center, from there to each side, east and west, 18250 feet in each direction was a east-west alignement that, together with the Center, demarkated an area commensurate to the area within the horizon of a healthy man standing on a flat earth. Acording to these markers was played out a symbolic sermon of life and death. Further reading, see my book, The Measure of the Cosmos

Many allege the Bible tells a more comprehensive story in its symbolism, numerology and its allegory, than previously thought. One of the things that stands out in the allegory of the Bible is an intriguing concept that connects to my studies. The oldest continuously operating church in the world, built over the cave that tradition marks as the birthplace of Jesus of Nazareth. It is considered sacred by followers of both Christianity and Islam.
According to my studies many places resumed their pagan sacred status in the Christian faith. Many Christian sacred grounds are attached to sacred distances paced on the land by its first settlers. The Bible mentions a place called Gilgal in the vicinity of Jericho as the place where Johua and the Israelites made their camp after crossing the Jordan. The resting place, Gilgal, suggests Joshua faced a similar proplem my ancestors faced when they settled Iceland many centuries later.
Recent research of the imagery of the allegory of Iceland´s most famous skin book, Njalsaga, reveales that land was a living reality in the old religion and was hallowed according to known portions before people made it their home. The sermon of hallowing land served to orient one self in an unknown land, the mind made peace with unknown land by implementing an Image of Creation on it.
I propose the Israelites paced such image according to a geographical measure before they settled the holy Land. The Church of the Nativity is located 36500 feet due south from Har HaMenuchot, Jerusalem´s First Cemetery. Those two places, the Church of the Nativity and Har HaMenuchot played a prominent role in the land measuring sermon as can be compered to other areas of the world as seen here: www.peturhalldorsson.com/cosmos_all.html
Har HaMenuchot was a sacred ground, it was the center of the Israelite´s Image of Creation and it was 216000 feet in diameter (66+km). If you will, see allso my previous blogs; Petur´s blogs, and my book, The Measure of the Cosmos.

PS. The Measure of the Cosmos – how and why.
Image of Creation´s paced proportions were commensurate with the distance a healthy man could walk without stopping during one half of Earths cycle on its axis: A healthy man can take one 5 foot pace per one second (Livio Catullo Stechini,s Appendix in Secrets of the great Pyramid, Peter Tompkins, Galahad Books 1997. p. 314.) = 216000 feet in 12 hours.

A school of thought in contemporary science alleges the Bible tells a more comprehensive story of the wonder of life in its symbolism and numerology and its allegory, than previously thought. One of the things that stands out is the oldest continuously operating church in the world, built over the cave that tradition marks as the birthplace of Jesus of Nazareth. It is considered sacred by followers of both Christianity and Islam.
According to my studies many places resumed a pagan sacred status in the Christian faith. Many Christian sacred houses are thus attached to portional distances paced on the land by its first settlers. A place called Gilgal in the vicinity of Jericho, which Bible mentions as the place where Joshua and the Israelites made their camp after crossing the Jordan, suggests Joshua faced a similar proplem my ancestors faced when they settled Iceland many centuries later.
Recent research of the allegory of Njalssga, Icelandic most famous skin book, reveales land was a living reality in the old religion. Before people who settled virgin land made it their home, they performed a sermon of hallowing land according to portions that became holy.
I propose the Israelites paced an Image of Creation on the land before they settled. In the land measuring sermon the location of The Church of the Nativity and Jerusalem´s First Cemetery, Har HaMenuchot played a prominent role. Har HaMenuchot is located 36500 feet due south from Har HaMenuchot. Har HaMenuchot was a sacred ground, it was the center of the Israelite´s Image of Creation that was 216000 feet in diameter (66+km), that can be found in many areas of the world, see: www.peturhalldorsson.com/cosmos_all.html
If you will, see allso my previous blogs on this matter and my book, The Measure of the Cosmos.

Joshua and the Israelites tamed the land that lay before them much in the same way my ancestors did when they first came to Iceland many centuries later.

The Bible mentions a place called Gilgal in close vicinity to Jericho, as the place where Joshua and the Israelites made their camp after crossing the Jordan. During the mileniums before the Christian era, small groups of people were constantly settling new land. Tribes that faced an untamed land performed a sermon of hallowing land before making it their habitat. According to my studies, Joshua and the Israelites tamed the land that lay before them much in the same way my ancestors did when they first came to Iceland many centuries later. The Israelites paced an Image of Creation on the land as they conquered it. Their Image of Creation was of a certain size, its dimensions were the same through out the world according to recent discoveries: www.peturhalldorsson.com/cosmos_all.html
At Gilgal was a symbolic “Place of Light” on the Image of Creation –a place attributed to longest day of summer on the Image of Creation´s sun watch. Gilgal is measured from Bayt Jibrin with Lachish as a reference point, through Har HaMenuchot, exactly 216000 feet. Another line extended from the Dead Sea to where now is the city of Lod on the oposide side of the Cosmic Image, again, a distance of 216000 feet. Those lines crossed on a hill by the name of Har HaMenuchot which became a sacred ground, the oldest Cemetery of Jerusalem. 36500 feet due south from Har HaMenuchot was another sacred place that was to become where the Church of the Nativity is located, one of the oldest continuously operating churches in the world, built over the cave that tradition marks as the birthplace of Jesus of Nazareth, considered sacred by followers of both Christianity and Islam. The Church of the Nativity is a place of ancient sacredness within an Image of Creation as mentioned in my book; The Measure of the Cosmos, bringing to light an Image of Creation in the holy Land analogous to every settlement in the world. In many Nations where Image of Creation was paced on land by their initial tribes, it became a blueprint by which later sacred grounds were construed. Subsequently, the proportions fused with esthetics and thoughts which stir in Man’s psyche and gradually assumed divine attributes.
